He studied medicine at the University of Alberta in Königsberg, the University of Johann Wolfgang Goethe in Frankfurt am Main and at the University of Eberhard Charles in Tübingen, he obtained a specialization in pediatrics. He was active in Zionist organizations. In 1933 he emigrated to Palestine.

In the 1959 parliamentary election, for the first and only time he got into the Israeli parliament from the list of Progressive Party, which during this term of the Knesset merged with the General Zionists to form the Liberal Party.

He died on July 27, 1961, shortly before the next election.
