Richard Shuttleworth


Richard Ormonde "Dick" Shuttleworth (born July 16, 1909 in Old Warden, August 2, 1940, Ewelme) is a British racing driver, pilot and collector of historic cars and planes. He died in an air accident in 1940. Racing career

At Shuttleworth, he competed in the Grand Prix races. He was the driver of the Bugatti T51 in 1934 and the Alfa Romeo Tipo B in 1935-1936. He won three podiums at the Donington Trophy in 1934 and won in 1935 at the Donington Grand Prix and the Mountain Championship. He retired from the aftermath of a serious accident at the 1936 South African Grand Prix. Bibliography
