Anna Maria Wells

Anna Maria Wells (born around 1794, died in 1868) - American prose writer and poet, known as the early author of books for children. She was born as Anna Maria Foster in Gloucester, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Benjamin Foster and Mary Ingersoll Foster. Her father died when she was a child. The mother remarried Joseph Locke, the father of the poet Frances Sargent Osgood. Anna Maria and her family moved to Boston, where she was studying. In 1829, she married Thomas Wells, a minor poet. She had four children with him. Marino Dandolo

Marino Dandolo (Greek: Μαρίνος Δάνδολος, died before 1243) - the Venetian ruler of Andros in the years 1207-1239. Marino came from the famous Venice family Dandolo. In 1207, he accompanied Marco I Sanudo in the conquest of the Aegean islands. He was granted the island of Andros. He was forced out of it in 1239 by Geremia Ghisi. He died before 1243. On behalf of his rights to the island, a case was brought against Ghisi by the widow Felisa and sister Dandolo-Maria. Józef Frejlich (born 13 January or in July 1884 in Warsaw, died on June 24, 1976 in London) - activist and historian of PPS, publisher of source texts. Curriculum vitae From 1901 he was a PPS activist, then in the PPS-Revolutionary Faction. In 1912 he was associated with the group Feliks Perl and the magazine "Placówka". In the years 1912-1939 he lived in Berlin, working there in archives. He stayed in Poland periodically. The outbreak of the war found him in Warsaw. From 1940 in exile in the USA and Great Britain. Active in the emigration structures of the PPS. He published in the London "Wiadomości", also connected with the Parisian "Kultura" and "Zeszyty Historyczne". Motifs from the Old Church in Delft - a picture by the Dutch painter Emanuel de Witte. Emanuel de Witte was a master in presenting sacral interiors. In his paintings, he most often showed a fragment of the church - usually from the side nave, through the nave, towards the transept or with a view of the choir. The most important element in de Witte's paintings is, just like in the painting from the Wrocław museum, the illusion of the space of the church's interior, divided by gray columns and walls. This spatiality is the placement of a series of figures in the interior, and in this, a characteristic of a painter's paintbrush, the foreground figure set back, which is also a vivid color accent.
